We continue our themed evenings of debates and games in foreign languages, as we also announced in our Facebook group The Story Behind The Story, together with other co-creators, talented people, very good speakers or native speakers of a foreign language, who will share a talent with us, in our community, by moderating an Event.
This time we bring to the fore a new theme, CREATIVITY, with our friend teacher Miles Kentish as moderator, one of a series of co-creators who will facilitate a challenging moderation again at Lingua Events. Together with him, we will try to answer questions like:
Is creativity a gift or an achievement?
Do you consider yourself a creative person? If YES, what arguments do you have in your favor?
Creativity is the ability to make or bring something new into our existence or those around us, whether it is a solution to a problem, a new way of using a product or service, an expression in an artistic form or our relationships.
Some believe that when we talk about creativity we are talking about an innate talent, a gift. Others may argue that it is an achievement that is achieved through practice and learning and that it can be continually developed and improved until it is recognised and rewarded.
We don't know if we can find the exact answer about what it is and how creativity enters our lives, but we have the opportunity to discuss together: what we consider to be creative or not, how we become creative, through innate or acquired talent or as a result of a constant exercise, how this ability is reflected in our daily activities and what influence it has on our emotions and expression in the family, in society, towards friends or colleagues.
In addition, this time you will also have role-playing games and personal development, as we are used to.
Practicing a foreign language provides cognitive flexibility, develops creativity and empathy towards other cultures. To reach the performance, we propose a language exchange in a friendly atmosphere, using the talent corner. The principle is that you, as a moderator, can help others in a foreign language that you know very well. How does it work?
If you have an artistic, culinary talent, if you are passionate about your job and want to talk about it or hold a workshop, write to us and we will provide you with a welcoming space, we will get to know you and validate your proposal.
Let's spend an evening together again in a relaxed atmosphere with native English speakers, snacks and drinks, to have the opportunity to practice English and interact with friendly people, for 3 hours of fun, learning and a good mood!
